Mr Ahmed Ibrahim is a senior consultant neurosurgeon at Imperial College Healthcare Trust and is a clinical lead for spinal services in the Trust where an average of 40 patients a year with spinal cord injuries are managed.
Mr Ibrahim has a PhD in using olfactory ensheathing cells to regenerate spinal cord. Mr Ibrahim has both laboratory and clinical experience essential for the next phase of the research, applying the findings of the laboratory. Mr Ibrahim currently provides standard care and aims to run a clinical trial in the near future.
